F.S.M. International Anatolian Imam Hatip School, Istanbul
The lighting design for the Fatih Sultan Mehmet International Anatolian Imam Hatip School aims to support a learning environment that is both functional and spiritually grounded. The design reflects the school’s educational mission—blending academic excellence with moral and cultural values—through a lighting strategy that balances clarity, comfort, and identity.
In addition to meeting contemporary educational needs, the lighting concept emphasizes the building’s architectural references to classical Ottoman and Anatolian educational structures. Carefully positioned luminaires accentuate key elements such as arches, courtyards, and stone textures—highlighting the school’s connection to historical architectural traditions while maintaining a modern lighting standard. This approach reinforces a sense of continuity between past and present, allowing students to experience an environment where spiritual heritage and academic life coexist in harmony.
