Engaging with education is at the heart of Urban Lumina’s mission.

We see every learning setting—formal or informal, academic or public—as a platform for this ongoing dialogue, exploring the transformative potential of light in spaces of every scale.

  • MSGSU Elective Course

    MSGSU Elective Course

At Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, the elective course “Mekan Takıları” (Spatial Ornaments), conducted under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. İldem Aytar Sever and Asst. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Atilla Söğüt, explores small-scale design elements that enhance the character and atmosphere of a space. Lighting plays a crucial role in this course, as it shapes the mood and spatial perception, enriching the user experience. Students study the impact of light on space and learn to create aesthetic and functional spatial ornaments.

  • Atlastan Yansımalar - 2 & 3

    Workshop held with Atlas University

Light is more than illumination—it is a storyteller. In Atlastan Yansımalar, we explore how designers and artists use light as a narrative tool to shape atmosphere, reveal textures, create spatial depth, and subtly guide perception. Through this workshop, participants discover the expressive potential of light and shadow, and how these elements can transform both design and spatial experience. This workshop was conducted under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. İldem Aytar Sever.
